Coincidence!
So I am having lunch with some friends. There is a guy there I have seen a few times. We live in the same neighborhood and apparantly he is friends with some of my friends.
So we are talking and I mention that DH is a carpenter. He says his dad is a cabinetmaker. It turns out they work next door to one another and have been friends for years. They do a lot of overlap in work. My DH is a cabinetmaker, but he also builds furniture and other things besides cabinets.
This guy's dad is very successful. According to his son, he is getting older and wants to retire in the next few years, but he has no one to pass his business to.
Its so funny. I just think of this random coincidence. Who knows if anything will happen. But its so random.
I met my DH because of randomness/coincidence. I went to Long Beach with a girlfriend and we happened to sit behind him and his friends. I happened to be talking about my trip to Israel- and he is Israeli. His friend's fiancee happened to overhear our conversation and when I was leaving, she ran after me and gave me his number. (I went over instead and gave him mine).
Its just so funny how many coincidences there are in life and how these random acts can completely change your life.

Re: Coincidence!
I have a really cool coincidence. My dad plays online poker. Now, there are literally hundreds of these. His screen name is NY something. he chats while he plays. Some guys starts chatting with my dad after seeing his screen name. Saying he is originally from NY, My dad asks where he lives now and the guy says Texas. My dad says he has cousins there. The guys precedes to say he lives in Austin. Then asks my Where does my dad live. He tells him. My dad then tells the guy his cousins own an Italian restaurant in Austin. The man then says "Steve" (Thats my dad) My father was stunned. It was his cousin Johnny. Brother to the cousin who owns the restaurant. Come on, what are the chances.

Re: Coincidence!
That's a very, very cool coincidence. I hope it pans out into something!!
Dh and I didn't meet by coincidence, but we have a strange history. He grew up in Israel, with just his mom and brother. His mom is a holocaust survivor with no family, or that's what she thought, until about 25 years ago, she stumbled on a 2nd cousin that had survived the war.
Irony of all ironies, this cousin, lived, and still lives, in Great Neck, NY, about 2 blocks from where I grew up.
Dh and his mom and brother came to Great Neck at least once a year while I was growing up there, and stayed during part of the summer each time.
I can only imagine how many times we crossed paths growing up, despite living in completely different countries!
