Cocktail Lounges?
My friend is looking to have a "cocktail hour" type of birthday party for her twin brothers, who are turning 30, next month. She is looking for a place that has a Metro-NY feel, but on Long Island. I told her that I would ask on here to see if anyone had anyplace to recommend.

Last year I attended a cocktail party for a 40th birthday at Stonebridge in Hauppauge. It was in a beautiful room with an open bar.

Thanks everyone. Her family lives in Westbury so Hauppague is a little far for everyone to travel. Anything in Nassau County?
She is looking into Four in Farmingdale but wants to look at a few places.

I had DH's 40th at the Main Event in Plainview on Old Country Rd. It's a big space, very good food with giant TV's everywhere. Definitely sports related..
but the place is great and fairly new and the food is very good. There's a giant bar that separates the dining room.
We reserved on side of the restaurant for the party, had an open bar and a buffet. They got the cake from Erga. It was very reasonable.

Posh in the Garden City Hotel
I think there may be a lounge in Carlton on the Park in Eosenhower Park, but am not sure.
