Co signer question - PLEASE READ AND HELP!!!!!
My husband was a cosigner for a "friends" loan and we are having a major problem - you can see it on the home board. Our disaster.
Loan had a cosigner which was my husband.
The original loan holder refinanced it through a bank - Does that bank need my husbands approval to refinance it in his name as well???? Or can they refinance without my husbands consent or knowledge of it going on.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!! :)

Your husband would have had to sign the paperwork for the new loan.

I'm assuming your husband is not on the deed to the house so in that case He can refi with out your husbands consent BUT only if the new loan does NOT have your husbands name on it, if your husbands names is to be on the new loan then yes obviously they'll need your husbands consent
