Closet organization

Did you get any kind of special closet organizer for baby's things? With all these tiny clothes, I wonder if we should design it a little different than we would a regular dresser. Also, I wonder if we should put in more cubbies for toys/shoes in baskets.

Any closet suggestions?

Re: Closet organization

I was thinking about doing this because Container Store was having the Elfa sale. But I figured it is too early right now, I haven't even registered yet! But I am sure I will change up the closet a bit to make it more kid friendly. Chat Icon

I bought this plastic thingie with drawers last night (sort of like sophisticated bins) for the top shelves in DS's closet, and I also registered for these.........

Re: Closet organization

We went to Home depot and bought the closet organizer. They have the moveable shelves so as the baby gets older we can adjust everything. Right now we have a top and bottom closet rod and a bunch of drawers for towels and washclothes, blankets, etc... We put a shoe rack in too for all the little shoes. There is also a bunch of shelves for baskets that I have been putting random things in.

It was pretty reasonable and very easy to set up.

Here is a picture of my sons closet before he was born.

My husband built the shelves and poles - it was so easy - and so inexpensive -- from Home Depot.
