Clomid/Ovulating Ques
Does clomid make you ovulate sooner than you normally would?
I started clomid day 3-7 for my first IUI. I normally ovulate cd18 and wanted to know if it typically would stay the same or if it comes sooner.
My doc doesn't want to do a trigger and has me using the ovulation kits in order to schedule the IUI. I'm anxiously waiting for my surge.

Re: Clomid/Ovulating Ques
My cycle was exactly the same as without clomid. I did 100 mg on days 5-9 and did not trigger.

Re: Clomid/Ovulating Ques
Mine is earlier but I also trigger. I did 50mg CD3-7 and had 24/25mm follies at CD10. I triggered that night. I'm assuming I'd O earlier since they rupture when mature, but not sure.

Re: Clomid/Ovulating Ques
RE said it could be sooner with Clomid, but it wasn't for me. I usually O around cd18-20 and that's when the follies wound up being the right size to trigger.
ETA: I did 100mg CD3-7

Re: Clomid/Ovulating Ques
It didn't for me. My first cycle on Clomid (50mg), I "sort of" ovuldated early at CD14 but 8dpo progesterone test showed I barely ovulated (prog = 5.4).
My second cycle of Clomid (100mg) I didn't ovulate until CD21. My #s were great (prog = 23 at 8dpo) but I still got a BFN!
