clomid- cd10- how many follicles?

ladies i'm on 50mg of clomid, days 3-7. Went for my scan yesterday (my last pill was wed night) and i have 3 follicles all 10mm (2 on the right and 1 on the left).

Is that a good amount? is that low?

i would have thought the follicles would have been larger at this point, but i think mine tend to grow slow anyway.

I have a fsh of 14 if that matters.

so what's the norm??

I can't say from experience because I was never on Clomid.. but for what it's worth, when I took femara, I had no response. I needed injectables thrown in to get anything.

I'd say even though they're small, you're still in good shape. You know what they say.. slow and steady...

I usually have 2 23-25mm on cd10 on 50mg clomid or on femara. But he said I'm super sensitive to it so that might not be normal. I know some people have to go back for a few sonos till they mature (I think 17/18 mm is mature). But 3 is good. I've only had 1 or 2. I think you only get like 15 or so when you use injectables too. I heard that if you have too many on just clomid it's not good

By cd10 on Clomid, I had no follicles. None on cd13 either. On cd17 I had one, went in for IUI the next day, and it worked! And you're doing 3 times better than I did at cd10. Good luck!

Clomid didn't really work for me so I'm not on it this cycle.

But, here is how my follies grew:

Clomid Round #1 50mg:

CD12 u/s one follie at 20.5mm
CD13 hcg trigger shot
CD21 blood test to confirm ovulation showed a progesterone of 5.44 which means I did not ovulate well (they want it over 10 for non-med cycles and over 15 for medicated cycles).

Clomid Round #2 100mg:

CD13 u/s three follicles on right (11.1, 9 and 8.4) and one on left (12.4).
CD17 u/s I believe left was 18.8 and right was 13.1 (they said probably only left one would mature and O).
CD19 hcg trigger shot
CD26 blood test to comfirm ovulation showed a progesterone of 23!! This was great and so got my hopes up. But, still ended a week and a half ago with a BFN

Clomid also caused my lining to thin and I had to take Estrogen supp from the point of my mid-cycle u/s until the BFN.

Cycle 1 (3 months)
100mg clomid, no folicles over size 10
150mg clomid, no folicles over size 10
given provera to force period and start next cycle

Cycle 2 (4 months)
200 mg clomid, no folicles over size 10
250 mg clomid, 1 folicle at 12 the rest under 10, never got any bigger. Switched to injectables same cycle. Produced too many large folicles and switched to IVF.

I also did 50mg of clomid cd3-7. I had only 1 follicle day 10 that was 19mm.

I don't think there is a norm on any fertility drugs. Everyone is different. For my next cycle (hopefully there won't be a next, keeping fingers crossed) they are upping my clomid to hopefully make more follicles.
