Clomid - help - Update
You guys I am really losing it here on Clomid...last night I took my second dose of 150 mg because the 100 mg I took last week didn't work. I didn't have any side effects on 100 mg but all of a sudden today it hit me like a ton of bricks...I'm exhausted, can't stop crying (sitting here at my desk, great), alternate between freezing cold/goosebumps and sweating, headache, body aches, ovary pain, dizziness - you name it I've got it.
I just left a message for the doctor and started crying on the voicemail, nice. I think I want to stop taking it...but then what? Aren't injectibles going to be even worse? I feel like I'm giving up and I should just suck it up for three more days, but I'm really not doing too well right now. I just need some hugs I think, I will wait to hear from the doctor

Re: Clomid - help
Hang in there! Think about how can all be worth it in the end with a BFP and a baby! You can do it!

Re: Clomid - help
Definately the meds! I didn't have the kind of reaction... just major hot flashes, but please stick it out... we're all here for you. Think of what a small price this is to pay when you get your BFP!

Re: Clomid - help
I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. I had a pretty bad reaction too last month on my first Clomid cycle (100mg), though it was mostly emotional with just some minor hot flashes. Its really uncomfortable to feel that way. I actually took this cycle off of Clomid b/c the side effects were so horrendous. I might reconsider next cycle if need be.
For what its worth, I've heard injectibles aren't nearly as bad with regards to side effects as Clomid, though I know everyone's different. Hang in there and I hope you're successful this cycle.

Re: Clomid - help
Its the clomid I HATED being on it and had a bad reaction. The IVF drugs to me were a walk in the park in comparison. Feel better

Re: Clomid - help - Update
Thanks so much ladies, I appreciate all your kind words! I spoke with the doctor's office, they said if I can suck it up to keep taking it for another day or two...but if not, we'd try something else. I'm actually feeling SO MUCH better right now...I started feeling better around 5 pm, so it was just really bad from 12-5. I'm going to try to stick with it at least tomorrow but instead of taking it tonight before I go to bed I'm going to take it tomorrow morning. Since the symptoms hit me today about 14 hours after I took it, I think I'm going to try to time it so the bad part will be when I'm asleep. Honestly I can deal with the hot flashes/chills, feeling like I have the flu, etc....it was the uncontrollable crying and dizziness...then feeling like I couldn't swallow (which I realized later that it was because my mouth/throat were so dry!!! So that freaked me out a little. Anyway, thanks again - this better make me ovulate after all this LOL!!!

Re: Clomid - help - Update
Clomid has also made me a crazy emotional basketcase. I start 150 mg next cycle, im sure it will be another roller coaster.
