Cleaning the stove

Does anyone have a good trick for cleaning the stove? There is grease just caked onto the things that sit on top of the stove (gas, not electric, I have no idea what they are called)

I just killed 3 Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (RIP little guys, you did a good job) and it's still there...

TIA!

I soak the pieces in the sink with hot water and dawn. For the stove top, I would use one of those abrasive sponges and very gently scrub with ammonia.

Easy off (oven cleaner) works for really hard to remove spots on the stove top when I get sick of scrubbing, but read label to make sure it's safe for the type you have.. it is safe for the kind I have. It has a strong smell too, so use when you can have a window open for a bit.

Re: Cleaning the stove

Are you talking about the drip pans?? Or the stove itself? If it's the drip pans just buy new one's they are super cheap and should be replaced (we do every 6 months for energy savings.) Reg stove dawn dish soap and a sponge.

Re: Cleaning the stove

We used to put the drip pans and grates in the dish washer when we had our old stove.

I use brillo on the grates and it works well. I also like the soft scrub gel with bleach for the stove top itself.

I don't have drip pans - am I supposed to?
