Cleaning Person Recommendations

Any recommendations for a cleaning person that isn't outrageously priced? I got a quote of $120 for bi-weekly from Merry Maids and $375 for the first cleaning. Way too much for my budget. My house is only 1300 square feet.

I read through some of the ads on Craigslist, but I would rather have a recommendation first.

I'm in Suffolk County.

I found a great cleaning woman by putting my own ad on craigslist. I listed how much per hour I wanted to pay. The lady I use is great, she has been cleaning my home since July. She is never late, and rarely cancels. I like having the ability to select the person out of a few candidates. Many cleaning agencies pay their cleaners "NOTHING". I used to use a service where they were paying their cleaning people $3.50 an hour lol Therefore, they are much more eager to find a job off craigslist or care.com
