Cleaning People Questions....
Im in the market for a cleaning person.
Essentially I just want someone to come in and do a really good solid cleaning once per month.
Im able to pretty much keep up with things aside from that.
I found someone whom I think we will go with.
1x per month. 2 people. 4 hour minimum....$160
Does this sound like a good price?
I have to admit. I dont really think that I need 2 people for 4 hours. My house isnt really all that large...I only have 1 bathroom that Im having them clean. (My masterbath will be under renovation)
I just need advice...
Maybe a recommendation if this doesnt sound like a good idea etc...

Well....
That's just the thing. Because I wanted specific things done..but not some of the usual things..she said it would be by the hour. But it had to be a minimum of 4 hours and I needed 2 people.
I want my hardwood floors mopped...
My base boards cleaned...
Front bay window, front door window, side door window, and french doors cleaned...
1 bathroom scrubbed.
Fridge cleaned....
We have 4 bedrooms but all I want her to do in the bedrooms is run through with the vacuum cleaner and dust the ceiling for cobwebs. (Actually only do that to 3 bedrooms.)
I want my living room couch vacuumed "inside and out"..
Livingroom and Dinningroom...dusted
That's it....
I just cant see it taking 2 people...4 hours to do that...
What do you think?
My house is 1800 square feet...

It takes 2 people about 90 minutes to clean my entire house top to bottom (not the basement). They don't clean the fridge...but they do pretty much everything else you said.
The only reason I think they might be quoting you 4 hours is because it's only once a month. They might be assuming that'll be the only cleaning being done and they'll have a big job.

That seems a little high. I pay $70 twice a month. If you use a company they always charge more.

That seems right for all that you want for 1x a month. One person cleans my house 2x a month for $100each time. She's usually here around 5-6 hours and my house is always picked up and not dirty.

IMO I think that is a lot. I have a husband and wife team that come to my house. They just hired another person so now there are 3 and I pay only $90. They do my whole house from tope to bottom. Murphy oil my wood floors, clean my fridge, clean 4 bathrooms and all the bedrooms.

I pay 80 dollars every two weeks so that sounsd right to me. But, if I was paying that price I would break it up for them to come twice a month personally.
ETA: My people are normally here for 3 hours every two weeks
