Cleaning out some clutter - what do you do with...
all of your kids birthday cards, christening cards, etc. I have 4 children and I must have a stack of at least 100 cards that I saved. I feel guilty throwing them out - but do I really need to keep them?

I throw most out and kept a few special ones.
I have a friend that decoupaged the christening ones on a box and put in the favor, church program, etc.

Re: Cleaning out some clutter - what do you do with...
I'm going to get a hat box or photo box to put them all in. I was just thinking about this.
Also, I want to get a couple of photo albums so i can start puting all of the photo holiday pictures we receive in them. I wish I started to do this when my freinds started to get married.
But, since we are goiing on number two very soon - this is what I was thinking.

I keep the ones from us, his godparents and his grandparents and his one grand aunt who was like a mom to DH when he was growing up. The rest I tossed or put in a box for DS to play with. He loves looking at them!

If you want to keep them, but don't want the clutter, you can photograph them, or scan them. That way, they are digital, you can keep them forever, they won't get lost or damaged (as long as you have backups), and they don't take up any physical space.

i wish i would have saved special ones... but unfortunately i have nowhere to store that kinda stuff i usually keep special cards and stuff for a while and then when im really desparate for space and need to de-clutter i sadly throw them away.
