We are going to NY this weekend. I'd like to take the boys to the beach for a few hours but don't want to go all the way out east on the island.

Can you recommend a clean kid friendly beach where we do not have to travel far?

Would prefer somewhere between Manhattan and Huntington.

It is a bit out of the way but our other option is Coney Island. We have plans in Manhattan Saturday morning so it may not be too bad to go to Coney Island before heading to LI.
