Classmates's parties vs. weekend activities
DS just started playing soccer Saturday mornings (11-12) and we recently received a few invitations to classmates's parties at the same time.
Do you skip activities / sports for parties? Only for close friends / family? Just curious what the norm is.

Re: Classmates's parties vs. weekend activities
I've held parties on the weekend around that time and several declines were due to sports. If my DC was able to make it up I would go otherwise I would decline. I think I would consider going if it ws just practice and close friend/family.
