Is it wrong to not invite the whole class?

Why is it wrong?
How old is your LO?

My DS is only 2, but we just brougt in stuff at school so he can celebrate there.
DS has also had goody bags in his cubby from other kids birthdays that they celebrate in daycare or I got a note saying "lunch and snacks are provided by ****" for their bday

Re: Classmates and birthday parties

All of DC's school policies were, either all kids, or all the same gender, but that's only if you are using the school to distribute the invites. The teachers don't want to deal with handing out 5 invites, and explaining why the other 15 kids don't get one.

However, if you send the invites outside of school, you can do whatever you want.

For daycare when the classes were areoun 10 kids, I invited them all. Once the class size got up to 16 or 17, I stopped that and just invited the kids from school that we see out of school or that she talks about a lot.

I just had the same dilemma with my oldest. I felt really bad only invite the kids he talks about so I ended up inviting them all.
