Re: Classes?
I did the first time for labor and BFing...
This time I plan on signing up again for labor (had emergency c/s the first time) to brush up on stuff, BFing again, a VBAC class (what I plan on doing this time) and the sibling class. I'm also at a different hospital this time

Classes?
The breastfeeding class at Stony Brook was for couples. I made my DH come and there were several others there. Some other women brought a girlfriend for support if the SO couldnt come.

Every BFing class I've ever been to had mostly DH's/SO's there too. Hopefully you won't struggle but if you do (or even if yo don't), it's GREAT to have a good support system that includes DH. If he can go I'd ask him to go too.

Re: Classes?
I did lamaze and an infant care class. I found them both helpful and thought it was good bonding for me and DH before the LO arrived. But they're not necessary by any means.

Classes?
At good Sam we took the first time parenting class and Lamaze class at good. First class was $20 and the other class was $125 but we found them very informative. Especially the hospital tour. I was going to take the breast feeding but was told it wasn't worth it bc good Sam gives has a lactation consultant who comes in and pretty much gives you a mini session when you give birth. HTH.
