Classes -- who is taking them?
I know there is a parenting class, a lactation course, etc. Which classes are you taking, and at what point in your pregnancy?

Re: Classes -- who is taking them?
I am on my third pregnancy, so I'm not taking any classes this time, but I took a lamaze class and a breastfeeding class with my first and really found both helpful. I liked being prepared with some tips/breathing techniques for labor as well as knowing some things about breastfeeding. I know it isn't a necessity, but I felt it helped me to feel prepared to have a little information about the delivery, especially because my teacher was a labor and delivery nurse.

I am! Class starts in about 2 weeks. It's one day.3 hours in my ob's office. It covers what to expect in labor...all leading up, lamaze, c section, drug options...delivery, post delivery..and more I forgot but seemed very informative and happy its a one day thing :)

Classes -- who is taking them?
I don't plan to take classes this time but I took a Baby Care class and the lamaze /childbirth class through North Shore when I was PG with DS. They were helpful even though I ended up having a C-section so much of the childbirthing class wasn't used.
I had a one-on-one breastfeeding consult with a lactation consultant right after I had DS in the hospital.

Re: Classes -- who is taking them?
I'm not taking any this time, except maybe an infant cpr if I can find a cheap one.
Last time, I took Lamaze, parenting and infant cpr. They were all quite useful and were done through my hospital.

Re: Classes -- who is taking them?
I took breastfeeding and birthing classes at Good Sam. I thought they were both worth it. I'd like to take infant CPR as well.
