Clarisonic Help/Dry Skin Help

Day 1: Loved it.....raved about it, told everyone and their mother and mine to get one.

Day 3: Loved it still

Read a post about it could potentially cause drying. Dope that I am didn't think it could happen too me.

Fast forward: Didn't do it for a few days b/c of that potential.

Day 9: Used it

Day 10: Woke up and my face was all flaking/dry. Like a lizard!!!

Went off the clarisonic cold turkey for a week now and I can't get rid of the scales. Tried a million lotions. Anyone know of a hard core moisturizer to get my skin back to normal? I look ridiculous :(

Start using the Clarisonic again. It took me several weeks before I started to really notice a difference. Now my skin is better than it ever was.

Re: Clarisonic Help/Dry Skin Help

I've been using it for about 3 weeks and my face has been breaking out...I NEVER break out, but I'm keeping at it, thinking that it's just taking all the grossness out

Me too!! I got little red zitties. In weird spots....like under my baby fuzz by my ears! I thought it was a good thing too...guess I will stick with it. Probably just need to get over this "hump" so to speak.

How often do you use it?

the first two weeks I used it everyday, then I read that I was overdoing it, so now I'm just using it twice a week

Yup - when I first started using it, I got discouraged after a week or two. then I started again, just using it once per day for the first week or two, then upped it to twice a day. It really did take several weeks to start to notice a change. Now I have much smoother skin than I ever have.

start using clarisonic.
I already posted about this in another thread, but when I told my dermatologist that I got it as a gift , he said to me "make sure you only use it 1-2 times a week , no more than that" he said it can actually harm your skin. Then I found few articles online stating the same.
I have been using it for 3 yrs and I never use it more than 2-3 x a week and I always try to use it in the shower, so pores are open and it cleans better. Never had any problems with it and have told/raved about it to everyone , including everyone on LIF

so maybe you can use it again tomorrow night and put some night moisturizer on to help the dryness.

Re: Clarisonic Help/Dry Skin Help

you might also need to change your cleanser as the combo of clarisonic and cleanser might be too much for your skin. i switched to noxzema and have been great ever since!
