Civil Service Canvas Letters
How do you answer canvas letters that are way below your salary expectations?
Has anyone gotten letters while pregnant knowing you can't take a new job (due in 3 months). I've been answering them as I would if I weren't pregnant because I figure you never know how long it could take for them to actually hire someone.

As long as you send them back, you are in good shape & will continue to receive them. If you are declining the interest in the letter, I think there was a check box where you put salary, location as your reason.

Re: Civil Service Canvas Letters
In civil service there's no room for negotiation as far as salary so I guess if the salary is too low, you'd have to decline. As far as being pregnant at the moment, you might as well just accept in that case because as you said it could take a while from canvassing to actually getting the job & by then you might be ready to work again, but if they do call you for a job earlier I guess you could decline at that point or ask for a delay in your start date maybe.

Most of them do have a salary not acceptable option. I just want to make sure that doesn't put a strike against me. I make sure to answer all of them, even the p/t one's that I get even though I asked for f/t.

I would respond that I was interested if I were pregnant. I have a civil service job and I know that hiring can take a while around here. And they might be willing to wait until you are available if they like you a lot.
