City Select Double Stroller

For those of you that have this stroller do you like it? I've been thinking of buying this but would love to hear what others say before I spend the money. My kids are 17 months apart and I have a side by side. It's ok but I end up having that and my single stroller in my trunk all the time in case I'm just with one, or the older one I know won't sit in it depending on where we are. I like the idea that I can just use it as a single if I want and just have the second seat in my trunk. My oldest just turned 2 and the baby is 7 months if that matters, I heard the configurations are better for younger kids. And does anyone know of someone selling one?

I do not like mine at all. I bought it bc so many people raved about it and I really dk why. It is so bulky and heavy. It is so annoying getting it in and out of the trunk. You need both hands to push along. Not easy to close (one side always gets stuck). Before DD I had the UppaBaby Cruz and I think that's why I am so critical of this one. But I am comparing apples to oranges which isn't fair. I wish I had gotten the Vista like I originally wanted. At the end of the day, it gets the job done. My kids fit nicely in it.

I def recommend going to the store and putting both kids in it so you know what you're getting yourself into. I was the same as you and the appeal of having the option as a single stroller was what sold me. However, it is not an ideal single IMO. I ended up getting an umbrella if I ever need to go out with just 1 kid.

If it makes you feel better I have the same issues with the vista. My fav stroller is the citi mini single. The absolute best.

I have it. It's fine. Just very heavy and bulky as mentioned. It's easy enough to put together and close up. Large basket is a plus too.

We looked into it before we had #2 and we hated it. We went for the side-by-side City Mini Double. If my older one wanted to walk, then I just threw my bags or whatever into the second seat. We never kept both the single and double in the trunk at the same time.

I have the City Select double and the City Mini double. I hate them both, though I hate the City Mini more.

I DESPISE the pathetic excuse for a basket on the City Mini. It's miserable. Trying to get something in or out should be an Olympic sport. I hate that you need to buy the belly bar in order to then buy the snack tray.

The City Select is a pain to get in and out of the car. It's heavy. Once assembled, I don't mind the stroller. I also like that we can use it as a single or a double.

I also had the UppaBaby Cruz before needing a double, so I was spoiled by what I call the Rolls Royce of stroller companies. The new Vista came out after we had already purchased our City Select, otherwise, that would have been our first choice.
