I think he was just about 4 months. It reclines pretty much all the way so he probably could have gone in it just a bit earlier if I had thought about it.

We put DS in it when he was 3 months old. My nephew was in it (in the full recline position) from day 1.

2 mos...with a snuzzler....she did just fine, but has great head control too...i prob could have done it sooner but didn't have the stroller yet...

The stroller wasn't recalled, the buckle was. There was a voluntary recall of the buckle mechanism by City Mini Baby Jogger.  RECALL

I was told you could use it right away with a noggin nest - but we didn't even get it until DD was 2 months old.
I think we started using it about a month ago and DD will be 4 months on the 23rd. She has excellent neck control though and can sit for a few seconds tripod style without falling over already so I don't know if that makes a difference. She sits up in our strollers or she will pitch a fit! If we recline the seat a little she is sitting and reaching forward to sit up straighter.
I would say 3 months should be fine to put your DC in it.

I think at 3 months, and I would have used it earlier, but DD was born in January so she was in the snap and go whenever we went to the stores.
