Cigna POS Open Access members...coverage info!
Just passing along if anyone here is a Cigna POS Open Access member.
Labor and delivery is 100% covered with no copay.
Breastpumps are covered 100%. Call Carecentrix at 800-411-2305 and they will tell you what medical supply company to call. I waited about 15 minutes on hold before I gave up yesterday, but I will try again today. The rep I spoke to at Cigna said a RX is not needed, just to call and they will send one. I will report back on how it goes.

I just ordered mine from Carecentrix, they do all the work, unfortunately you do need a script now because they use Edgepark and Edgepark requires the script. You also have to wait till 30 days before your due date. They gave me the diagnosis code and what to have the script say, I just have to fax it to them. I'll let everyone know when I receive my breastpump!

Ahh OK...I figured there was probably something he wasn't telling me. Either way if it gets me a free pump I am all for it!

The prescription thing changed in April, they told me earlier in the month no prescription. I set my alarm on my phone for April 29th and called on the day! Good Luck!!!

Re: Cigna POS Open Access members...coverage info!
I keep being told different things between Cigna, Carecentrics and edge park. Does anyone know what other vendors Carecentrics uses besides edge park? I was also told I could purchase my own if I had a specific one that I wanted and they would reimburse me at 70% if it was an out of network vendor but now today I'm being told its not 70% of what I paid- it's 70% of their total reimbursement... But no one can tell me that amount... ??? Ugh now I'm on the phone w Cigna and we are on hold waiting for someone from Carecentrics...

Hmmm...I am not sure because I was only given some preliminary information since I'm still too far out. The rep I spoke to said to call back when I'm within 2 months of my due date and have the RX. I assumed that Carecentrix was going to handle all of it.

Carecentrics told me one thing & that edge park would be my provider. I called them as they told me by going thru Carecentrics I was limiting my choices available to me & that I should cancel the order and call edge park back directly... So I did. Now Carecentrics and Cigna are telling me that was wrong and if I order thru them directly it would only be covered at 70% of the reimbursable rate & would go toward my out of network medical- not be covered at 100% in network

They told me they no longer do brand specific orders... I'll let you know what brand pump I get today. the only thing they could guarantee was that it would be as good or better than any pump I could buy on my own....
