Christmas traditions

I just told my co-worker that I am planning to leave milk and cookies for Santa on Christmas and she looked at me like I had two heads. She told me that she would never do that because she would never want to lie to her child and force her to believe that there is a Santa. I didn't want to argue but I was telling her that it's just a tradition I WANT TO HAVE with my DD and she said it's a lying tradition (basically lying to my child) and how is she going to feel when she finds out that Santa is not real.
I am a little shocked. Am I the only one that is leaving milk and cookies for Santa?

Re: Christmas tradition-milk and cookies

Sounds like your co-worker is still smoldering from finding out there is no Santa. What a grinch!

Ignore her and leave the cookies and milk. That's how Santa fills out his suit! Santa also writes a note to our kids after taking a bite of the cookies. We leave a carrot for Rudolph too!Chat Icon

Re: Christmas tradition-milk and cookies

We leave milk and cookies. We even eat them and make a "mess" with teh crumbs. My parents always did this and know I want to do it for my children. Some people just don't have the spirit of Christmas in them I guess
