Christmas for 3.5 & 1.5 boys ??
I am at a complete loss - they need NOTHING - and I can't think of anything that they could possibly want.
I feel bad for Colin, but Sean's stuff doesn't have a chance to get even remotely worn before Colin is interested in it - so why buy new just for the sake of buying new? KWIM?
I have stuff in the closet from last Christmas ready to go to Toys for Tots !! How many trucks can 2 little boys possibly need?
I have to have SOMETHING for these boys under the tree from Santa - but I don't know what !! I've already asked my family to scale it back big time -
Colin, like Sean before him loves anything that moves - Cars, Trucks, trains ......Balls - but we HAVE all of that already. I have a ton of Thomas the train stuff, 2 ride in cars, a swing set (that was last year's gift for them) every possibly piece of sports equipment you can think of.........
Sean is now obsessed with my iPad (and I'm not buying an iPad for a 3.5 year old) - and anything and everything Supre heros .......but he has those little figure things (Poty training rewards --- ahem, bribes) which he loves to play with -

Re: Christmas for 3.5 & 1.5 boys ??
I could've written this almostly exactly word for word... Minus the superheroes and Xmas. Lol How'd you get him into superheroes? Mas likes anything on tv, but loves cars, trains, etc. Pretty much like your boys and Brayden is the same exact way. Mason's clothes are also in great condition so they go straight to Bray. Mas can play with my iPad all day if I let him. It's how we survive dinners out. Either that or go with lots of family so my parents pay and the boys have their cousins to occupy him. I was considering using the money to join some gym type classes. We have lots of toys still in boxes tht some we'll give away and others he can open again. We go to Aruba in feb so I told family summer clothes, swim shoes, etc. maybe money to a swingset we want to get next spring. I can wrap coloring books and crayons and Mas will be happy. Bray will be happy with an empty box. LOL These boys are spoiled as well and with two boys close in age they play with all the same toys. We have more matchbox cars then we need yet they manage to use them all.

Re: Christmas for 3.5 & 1.5 boys ??
He has loved spiderman since he was about 1.5. DH would watch the movies and insist he 'wasn't paying attention' or 'didn't care' when I'd tell him the content wasn't age appropriate........but he got hooked on the Spiderman trilogy. Then it moved on to Superman, Captain America, Green Lantern, the Iron Man movies, Fantastic 4 .........and add in the cartoons.
He would recognize the actors in other movies and be like "Heeeeeeey - Why isn't spiderman wearing his costume?" Or "Why is Captain American on FIRE Mommy?" (Chris Evans is Human Torch in the Fantastic 4 movies - which annoys him - Lol)
Now he likes to act it all out and interchange the supreheroes with the bad guys and make up his own stories - we down play the voilence to 'get the bad guy' and none of those movies have anything going on 'adult' wise other than 'Spiderman's girlfried is MJ" - so I don't have to worry about any of that .......
The only ones I haven't let him see are the Dark Night Batman movies - they're just too much.
But I probably had the only 3.5 year old in the theater for The Avengers. He loved it.

Funny... My DH is the same way. Surprised he never got Mas into them. May have to be a new thing. I just never see superman cartoons anywhere. He does know about superman and spiderman b.c of his pajamas and we play superman with a cape and all. His uncle flies him around. Oh, and when he gets a haircut he will only wear his cape like superman. Lol

Try books, coloring books.
They don't take up much space and can entertain for a long period of time. That being said... My own DS is 2. We've done books for the last 2 yrs.

3.5yo DS is obsessed with octonauts. You can't get them at toy stores in the US. I will be buying them from amazon and getting them shipped from london.
Both kids love legos. They seem to never get sick of them. They already have several sets but we will probably get a few more. Lego table is also on the list.
I'm a fan of building toys. I don't know all the names but we have about several sets of different types of building sets (pegs, trio?, molecules, sticks).
The kids also dont have a camera. I often gift cameras to 3-4 year olds but our kids don't have one so I will probably be getting one for them.
I may get them one of those 4 wheelers also. We returned the one they got last year.

Christmas for 3.5 & 1.5 boys ??
I have the same problem. My house is a total disaster thanks to the overflow of toys, especially now that we have the little one & all of my 3 year old's retired toys are making another appearance.
I've been thinking hard about it & I think that the following is going to be on my older son's Christmas list: arts & craft supplies/projects & a new play-doh set, board games, puzzles, a sled, "playground" balls, outdoor hockey set (I think we'll have all of the sports covered now with that one) & the 1 thing he's asked for: a radio flyer scooter (with pads). My dh also wants to get him some of the big old classic metal Tonka trucks for playing outside in the dirt...so long as they're not in the house I'm ok with that lol
ETA: our little guy will be 8 months old so he's getting $ in his bank account from pretty much everyone & maybe some new bath toys, but that's it.
