Christening Gift
I was invited to a Baptism of a friend's baby boy and cannot attend.
I need gift ideas. I know that most people give money, but I hate writing another check (I have given and given to this family already for at least six different occasions in the past year).
So if you were to give a gift, what could you give?
And if you give $$$....how much is adequate for a friend's kid?

Maybe a small toy with a book?
Otherwise, if you do decide to send a check or gc I think $30-50 depending how close you are to this friend. This is what I have received from friends that couldn't attend my kids christenings.

If you give $ and are not attending, $50.
If you want to send a gift, you can find a christening keepsake for under $50 on Etsy.
Personalized picture frame for his christening photo, etc. Or a small personalized child's
bible or mini prayer book for kids

Attending or not I would probably only give $50.
I did receive for one of my kids I think a baptisim certificate holder engraved ( I say I think cause I can't remember if it was for that or my wedding  either way same concept   )
I also got a photo album engraved which was nice forced me to print out pics to put in there. Didn't get one for my second wish I did so I was forced to print pics out for him
