La Bovetta on 18th Avenue between 74th Street and Bay Ridge Avenue. They have the BEST selection.
I got my son's outfit plus all the accessories there and the dress my DD wore to his christening.
ETA: I went there to look for my DD's dress too and they had the one I ended up buying, but I bought it at another store for no real reason, except that I was there and I was finally certain that *this* was the gown.

I bought DD's dress at a shop on Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood-R & M Boutique which is technically in Queens but very close to Brooklyn.
