christening/baptism question for moms of boys
Are there any special accessories I should get? DS (8 months) is getting baptized in a couple weeks and I just want to have little things to make it that mush more special. I haven't been to any baptisms that i can think of.
Do people get special rosarys or things like that?

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but we didn't have any accessories for either DS when they were christened. They both wore the same outfit (starting a new heirloom for their generation), I didn't have them wear socks under the gown, either.
I did get a tiny cross necklace for older DS because that's what his godmother wanted to give him -- the deacon blessed it for us after the ceremony.
For younger DS, I bought him a Celtic Cross tie-tack that we pinned to his bib over the christening gown. He can use it as a pin for his communion and confirmation, then use it as a tie tack when he's older if he wants to.

All we had was a blue blanket that said "God bless, Baby" which was a gift, other than that, no.
