When you make an appt with Chris for the infant seat is it for an installation or inspection?

Im a little confused
I made an appointment for an inspection and they ended up taking the base out and reinstalling it correctly. I attempted to do it myself, but apparently I didn't do it correctly.

So are you supposed to try to install it yourself first and bring it there insstalled?
