My friend called me today and told me they found a choroid plexus cyst on her baby's brain during the Level II sono. She was told it was a soft marker of downs syndrome and directed to a geneticist. The geneticist told her being the baby has no other markers and her blood work came back normal during her 1st trimester that it is unlikely anything is wrong with the baby. She was told the only way to know indefinetely is to get an amnio but the dr. told her the risk of miscarrying during an amnio far outweight the risk of anything being wrong with the baby. My friend is dead set on getting an amnio because she wants to know if something is wrong with her baby.

I know I cannot change my friends mind and it is not my place to but being she knows noone else who had this she has no experience with it. If your baby had this cyst, did you get the amnio?
