China Cabinet Display
Please help! We finally ordered a china cabinet for all our china that has been sitting in boxes since we got married 2 yrs ago! And I have no idea how to set it up. It has 3 shelves. How is your china display? Any pics or ideas would help me a lot! If you can help, THANK YOU

Re: China Cabinet Display
Do you know if it has a groove running along the back of the shelves to stand up plates? Mine does and I stand up the dinner size plate on the back of each shelf and have the rest of the place setting in front of it.
There are 8 settings total on the top 2 shelves. The rest are in storage underneath. On the botton shelf, I have some of my serving pieces.

I only have one place setting on display and the rest underneath. I use the other space for wine glasses and other collectibles that I have.

Re: China Cabinet Display
I have 3 shelves too - I originally never imaged putting all my china on display but I'm 31 weeks pregnant and exhausted so my mother in law put all my china (packaged from 2008 wedding) in my first time ever new dining room set recently - I am surprised I love how she did it. I had a set of 12 - grooves in the back - big plates standing in back, then in front of each plate the other pieces stacked, ending with coffee cup on top- each shelf has set of 4 and inbetween I have some of my glass elephants, trinkets and some of the china's matching pieces like the sugar bowl...I will try to take a picture.

Re: China Cabinet Display
Thanks for responding! Yes, my china cabinet has grooves and I ended up displaying 4 plates on each shelf (on the groove). Then I put the smaller plate on the shelf with the teacup on top. And then I set up my wine glasses in between each set. On the bottom shelf I stacked all the remaining dishes and cups and wine glasses bc i have a total set of 12. I love it! Thanks for your help!
