?: Children's Safety Day (Massapequa)
I saw this advertised in Newsday and am thinking of bringing DS later.
DH said to make sure we can go though.....often these types of events are just open to people in that town, especially if they are free, which this one is.
Is that the case? We are Town of Babylon.
TIA!

We went last year and it seemed to be completely open to the public. They didn't check ID's or anything. You shouldn't have a problem. It was very crowded last year, lots of bouncy houses, snack stands, etc. We went towards the end so didn't get to see any of the safety stuff lol but I'm sure they had different emergency vehicles, etc.

Went down for an hour (so hot for parents LOL) and DS had a blast! It goes till 4 so if you are in the area, I highly recommend checking it out.
We watched the NCPD helicopter land (DS was amazed) and they are also giving out free food and drinks as well as entertainment.
One of the bouncers is a waterslide too for the kids to cool off on.

I wish I would have brought my kids. DS would have loved that. Didn't have a chance to get there today. Yes, it's a scorcher! Glad your DS liked it!
