Childcare urgent situation. Recommendations please

So I got the job I was interviewing for. They want me to start next week. Upfront there is some travel involved. I called the daycare I used previously and am on a waiting list. Director said January for my oldest is the soonest. DH and I also wanted to wait till mid-January anyway to put the new baby in daycare for reasons I don't wish to debate at this time. Regardless, I'd still have an issue b/c I need childcare immediately and it's not possible with my preferred childcare establishment. Therefore, we are considering having someone come to our house, but also open to reputable daycare.

Can anyone make some recommendations? I tried Care.com for a housecleaner and had a bad experience, but if you know of someone on there that is good for childcare please FM me. We have no family or friends willing and able to help us.

ETA: I'm in the Garden City area and it's for both kids (18 months old and 3 months old). Other than the initial travel I will be doing a great deal of my work from home but will still need a good amount of time each day to work without interruption and will have appointments with clients at other times.
