childbirth classes vs DVDs
are childbirth classes really worthwhile? DH and I have pretty opposite work schedules so if we were to take one, he'd need to take a day (or two) off from work (which means doesn't get paid)
are the classes really worth it or is there a dvd or two we could watch instead? if so, which dvds would you recommend?
Thanks!

I took the labor and delivery online class (its like a dvd) from babycenter.com and found it to be worthwhile.

Re: childbirth classes vs DVDs
I watched a DVD from the library myself, had DH watch a few important parts, and ended up with a scheduled c/s so I was glad I didn't waste all that time and money on a class!

I watched this for DD and loved it. I didn't feel like I was missing anything by not taking a class.

i also did this with my first pregnancy.
i would watch it and then decide if you really feel like you want to take an actual class.
