Childbirth Classes

I've been thinking about taking a childbirth class in the next few months. Did you take one? Was it helpful? Does anyone have a class or instructor that they would recommend?
Thanks

That's the class i was actually looking at. Do you remember if they covered early parenting also? DH wants to take a 'first time parenting class' also.

I took the one they offered at Good Sam and it was a waste of time. I ended up with a c section but was pushing for btw 1-2 hrs so I kinda had both experiences and the class was pointless. The nurses walked me through everything.

I think she went over a few quick things like bathing the baby and burping but I honestly don't remember it was back in 2010 when I took it. She does do an infant CPR class i believe.

Re: Childbirth Classes

I rented the Laugh and Learn videos from the library. I thought they were very helpful and did not see a reason to take a class afterwards.

Huntington Hospital offered them for free. I took Labor & Delivery, Breastfeeding and Infant Care. I found Infant Care to me the most helpful - breastfeeding was good as well.

WOW! Got one of these videos yesterday, it is a LOT of information! We didn't make it all the way through yet, but thanks for a great suggestion!

Re: Childbirth Classes

We took a Bradley class with Celeste Rachell. LOVED it. It was really informative, and FWIW, I liked that I was getting more objective information than I would from a hospital.
