Re: Childbirth classes

Tours of the hospital shoud be free unless they are part of the package after a series of lamaze classes(in which case you are paying for the lamaze classes). Childbirth classes can be anything from lamaze to breastfeeding to babycare classes...you would have to specify with your doctors office. My drs. office gave me the list of all the classes they offered, but I actually went to the hospital for the classes and signed up through the hospital.

How much was it for the classes at the hospital...I'm delivering in Winthrop.

Thanks for responding.

The breastfeeding and babycare classes were $50 per couple...the lamaze class was around $150 per couple I think(but I didnt take that one). Im delivering at LIJ, but I think its probably around the same.

Re: Childbirth classes

Through my hospital I signed up for a tour, parent classes (series of 4), and a breasfeeding course.

I was debating on the Bradley method, but I think it's too late for me to start the 12 classes.

Re: Childbirth classes

I took a total of 5 classes at my hospital - all free and a tour, also free.

ETS:They were not lamaze classes, they were classes on caring for baby, bringing baby home, breastfeeding etc.
