Chi-Straightner
Hi ladies!
Does anyone have a Chi-Straightner? My sister had used it on my hair and I loved how shiny it was! I was considering getting one! My hair is inbetween Curly and Straight.
Any Pros and Cons?

I had one for years and loved it!! My hairdresser recommended it and it's what she always used on my hair. The one I had lasted me about 5 years and then it broke. I was going to buy a new one but the same hairdresser said they dont have the same quality anymore, that they are now made in china and are breaking really easily. She recommended I go to Sally Beauty and buy and Ion. I got one for around $60-$70 and really like it, I notice no difference from my Chi and after almost 2 years it's still working really well.

I had it for about a year and a half and it broke.
It works ok, but I found that my hair was breaking from it.
When I bought a new one, I decided to go with a cheap Remmington b/c it had an auto-shut off and I have forgotten to turn it off a few times.

So should I not get it? I have a Conair one..and it takes 3-4 times before I can get it really straight..(Pin Straight) I guess you get what you pay for right? I am going to Ulta tonight. What do you suggest from that store?

i've only tried the hot tools and the chi and the chi is my favorite. it works really well. and Ulta has them on sale this week!

Ive had my Chi for over 5 years...so I guess I have the good batch. Works like a charm. I know a lot of salons now recommend Babyliss. Check that out.

@M514 - Do they really? How much are they are sale for? I decided at lunch that I was gonna go after dinner with my best friend on the way home..but now I left my coupon home..Grrrr?? I know I can get 20% off an item! Can I get that coupon online?

I love my Chi! I tried it last night...I can't believe how smooth and straight it got. But after the humidity got my my hair it curled up so now my hair is curly today. But now I have a wonderful straightner when the cooler weather comes!!
