What do you mean by "chemical free"?
If you are being told there is no formeldyhyde (spell?), please be careful because all that usually means is that they are using a generic version. This is a common misconception. My mother is a hair dresser and I have had all different types of brazilians, relaxers, straighteners, etc and no matter what, there is always some sort of chemical in it. Otherwise, it wouldnt work.

Agreed, this has been a big source of controversy for some time now. Companies that are claiming no formaldehyde typically use "aldehydes" that end up releasing toxic fumes. In general, there's a lot of mistrust and shadiness going on in terms of what companies are claiming.
The bigger risk is for the stylist doing these treatments all day, but personally, I wouldn't risk getting it done while pregnant.
I agree with pp that if there isn't chemical in it, it won't work, in terms of straightening.
There are treatments out there like Paul Mitchell's new in salon Wild Ginger Keratin Intensive Treatment, but it's not designed to straighten hair (and they're not claiming that it will). It's just a deep conditioning treatment to help with damage.
HTH!
