checklist?
Yet another question because I am LOST. Is there like a "checklist" of things to do before the baby comes? Like ofcourse the obvious...register and that. But then there was a post about getting the carseat approved I have no idea about these things! How do you find out what to do to be prepared?
Maybe we can just throw out our experiences?  Am I the only one who feels totally unprepared? Im a bad mom already

You are NOT a bad mom already!!! You are a mommy in training!!!  I have not seen a checklist, per say, but I have gotten SO muc information and knwledge from the girls on here, from asking tons of questions, reading books, and talking to other mommy's at my job/friends. If you are not sure about something, ASK! The more questions..the more informed you will be.

do u have to get the carseat approved? i was just gonna have my bfs brother put it in since he has 2 kids i figured he knows what to do.

Nobody has to approve it.
It IS recommended that a professional take a look to make sure it is installed correctly. There was some sort of study that was out last year that showed that some crazy high number (like 80%) of carseats were installed incorrectly.

Apparently the fire dept has to approve it?
You can go to the fire department, police station, or DMV to get the carseat checked and make sure it is installed correctly. Some hospitals require that you prove to them that the carseat is installed correctly.

I actually have a stack of like 8 books a couple of my girlfriends brought over. I've barely had time to read them. I also think I get so much info from here and it's easier than reading a book LOL.
I never have heard of a car-seat check.

Alrighty...Ill add some things together regarding another post that is up and running...
* Choose a pediatrician (where on earth do I begin looking for that!)
* Find daycare ASAP (way behind on that one)
* Carseat inspection (up in the air on that one)
Any ideas for must do's before baby has arrived that may be overlooked?
