They really want people to die while driving...don't they? That thing is a death trap.

Re: Check out this car...
One of THE most annoying websites I've seen....
The car seems interesting, though... maybe more interesting if I could actually find out about the car without all the movies and garbage.

Wikipedia entry on Aptera car
This configuration (3 wheels) also means that the Aptera will not face the same battery of tests for safety and emissions as would be required were the vehicle introduced under the requirements for an automobile.
A solar panel mounted on the roof of the vehicle keeps the interior at a comfortable temperature at all times. .... except at night, or rain..

25hp? It's a slug!
Aptera Motors claims acceleration from 0–60 mph (0-97 km/h) in less than 10 seconds
Faster to 60 than a Honda Civic hybrid....

I think it is ahead of its time though. I cannot imagine this vehicle getting a warm reception with so many larger cars/SUVs/SAVs/Vans on the same roads.....

But for how long? What if I keep the car in the garage at home, and the parking garage at work? During the winter, it would never see a minute of daylight....

But for how long? What if I keep the car in the garage at home, and the parking garage at work? During the winter, it would never see a minute of daylight.... That is true. I suppose it would depend on how efficient the cells are and how long your commute would be.
I never understood why wind power isn't used...I mean there is wind just by the nature of the car moving....
