Cheap planters for veggies
My raised planting bed is WAY too small for all the veggies I want to plant.
I am thinking big terracota pots.
It's too hard to dig the grass out. (I had just enough material to make 1 raised bed).
Where can I fing big terracota pots for cheap?
Is plastic OK?
Any other suggestion?

Re: Cheap planters for veggies
When I was in an apartment I always used plastic pots for my veggies. Just make sure to water EVERY day and keep it to one plant per pot.

Try the dollar stores. My Mom got me some long ones at the dollar store last year. I dont know if it was Dollar Tree or a no name dollar store but that would be my first stop before HD or gardening centers.

i have my in-laws save their plastic cat litter buckets. i drill holes in them and turn them into pots. i put them in a part of the yard that is out of way and can't see them b/c those things sure are ugly. but it gives me extra room to grow things and not worry about much. i have a separate garden aside from this too. cheapest idea for pots. also, i got some pots from garden centers that they were throwing out at end of season. big ones. they are dirty and the garden centers don't reuse them b/c they need to be sterilized before use. you can do that with soapy, extra warm water.
