CHASE for Life (repost from Pregnancy brd)

I *meant* to post this here but I guess it is good that I posted it in Pregnancy too.....

I saw this article in Westchester Family magazine, I think it was reprinted from a Parent or Parenting magazine about a mom that started an organization/website about how important it is to know CPR and first aid for kids. Her youngest daughter almost drowned but the father - who along with the mom went to CPR classes before the birth of their oldest girl - was able to save his daughter because he knew CPR. I am going to find classes for DH and I to take now that Liam is starting to eat solids and will be crawling and walking in no time. The mom said she knew new moms had to watch a "shaken baby" video before leaving the hospital but no one had to watch one about how to give CPR or the Heimleich (sp) to babies - she started a campaign and now it's shown in some hospitals in NJ. It's a great idea, it should be shown in all hospitals.

But the website is good, I believe the video is on there but I didn't see it but I did download the posters and brochures and will have them on the fridge at the house.

CHASE for life her daughter is named Chase.

I took one a few months after my daughter was born. It turned out I needed it because I had to heimlich one of my students last year.
