Changing Pad Covers - How Many

Sorry for all the how many questions - I'm clueless

I registered for the Changing Pad protectors (boppy ones - little white cloths that protect the changing pad).

If I use those, how many changing pad covers should I register for? I like the ones that match my bedding but they are expensive.

Is one enough, or do I need 2 or more?

Here's a tip --- when you're in the hospital, take some of those white "burp" cloths that they give you all of the time. You can use those as protectors. We've used those and they've been a great help! Chat Icon

Crashing...I have 2 covers and 8 liners and I wouldn't want any less! There are times I use the same liner for a week or two and then days that I go through 3 liners and the cover in a matter of hours.

Re: Changing Pad Covers - How Many

I have a son that is 3 and we always had two and this was fine! I even watched a little boy for two years that I changed there as well. I always just made sure one was clean but if worse comes to worse you can throw a blanket right on there. No need for more IMO. For my twins I was given one more so I will have 3 total. I like the soft ones withthe raised circles. I think Bobby makes them. They are very soft

As someone who is about to run out to the store to purchase more...I would say 3 sheets at least. We got one sheet and 3 liners and I have washed the sheet at least every other day in the 2 weeks that we've been using it. I'm okay with just the 3 liners but def need more sheets.

I just bought another cover, so I have two in total. I do DD's laundry every other day, so if she messes up one cover, I needed another. So I would say 2 covers and if you are using the liners, then I would say 2 is good.

We had 1 for DD and I never changed it. Had layers and layers of protectors on top. The boppy ones are way too small -- return it and get the soft waterproof ones that are the size of the changing pad. Target and bru sells them in 2-packs. Get like 4-6 -- theyre useful for changes when you're out too or in the car.

Re: Changing Pad Covers - How Many

I had two changing pad covers, and used these disposable pads on top of the cover frequently in the beginning.

They were great to toss in my diaper bag too.

Re: Changing Pad Covers - How Many

For several months I only had one changing pad cover, the protector it came with and 3 waterproof burp pads that someone bought me. I got by so-so with this but it was definitely VERY helpful once I bought a second cover. Sometimes DD would explode poop during a diaper change or pee a gallon so everything had to be changed. It is really helpful to have a second cover for times like this.

I had about 6-8 liners and I had 3 actual changing pad covers. I liked having extra liners on hand just in case.
