Changing formula
My pediatrician mentioned at DS's last appointment that we can change formulas when DS turns 6 months old, if we want. I thought this was strange since DS is doing well on the Gentlease. But, I guess he mentioned it b/c a lot of parents tend to have tons of samples in the house that they want to use. After thinking about it, I was wondering if I should try to use up my samples. But then again, why mess with a good thing if DS is doing well on the Gentlease?
Are you loyal to your formula?

Re: Changing formula
if hes doing well, i wouldnt change..the only reason im changing and have changed is to try and help reflux and/or gas issues... my dd has been on gentleease for 3 nites now..i have a question for you, if you dont mind me temporarily highjacking your thread...she hasnt pooped in 2 days (today is day 3) since she started it..and her farts smell LIKE A BIG FAT MAN FARTED lol.....normal??
if its not broke dont fix it!! stay with what works for your ds!!

DS has reflux so thats why we changed to Gentlease. His farts and poop smell like a grown man's!!! It's kinda kinda actually . Have you tried tickling her rectum to get the poop out? I had to do this with DS a few times and once it got things going we didn't have a problem. She might be constipated. You can always give her a 1/2 ounce prune juice with 1/2 ounce water and she should go either that day or early the next day

Re: Changing formula
I switched formulas with DD to use up samples, but she was older-9-10 months AND she has had no stomach issues with any foods or formulas.
Do what you feel comfortable with, you know your baby best!

Re: Changing formula
Kristina had reflux and gas.... I left her on Gentlease until SHE was ready to go to milk.... at 11ish months old. She went to milk with NO problems at all.
I would say just leave it alone.
