changing 2 year old sons diaper..
ok,,, my son SERIOUSLY freaks out everytime i change his diaper and when i clean his peepee... i end up breaking a sweat EVERY diaper change... anyone else go thru this?
i just get concerned b/c he had hyspospadias surgery (penis/urethra surgery) a year ago.....

Maybe just have his Dr check him to see if everything looks ok a year after surgery. Did this recently just start?

I have no experience with that surgery. I just change him before he gets up and runs away. So i may sweat, but not for the same reasons. I dont want him peeing on my new furniture

Is he freaking out 'cus he's hurting? Or because he's trying to be playful? My 2yo. is also becoming hard to change and I often need to get my DH to help me with him for BM changes.
For other changes, I just do it very quickly and use pull-ups when I can since it seems DS doens't like lying down on the changing pad.

DS does the same thing, he doesn't want to be changed with the cold wipe. That, and he has 'better' things to do than sit still for 15 seconds while I change him.

My friends son had the same surgery and did the same thing after for about 1 year or so. When I use to watch him, I remember the fights. I thought it was the cold wipes so I warmed them. Same thing...He eventually outgrew it. At first they thought it was a sensory issue. But the doctors said no. It was just a power struggle!

although my 2yrs old did not have that surgery he did the same thing...so we started potty training. problem solved

Aj doesnt do this but I was going to suggest trying to potty train and also asking the doctor to make sure he isnt hurting.
Sometimes Aj will say "Ow, OW" and I check again to see if he is in pain or just saying OW cause he doesnt want me to change it. It turns out he just doenst want me to wipe him so he says OW.
ETA: I have no experience with the surgery, so not sure if that is a factor.
