Bar or Liquid?

I've been using the liquid pump and breaking out like crazy. I just went to the derm and she said the liquid does not clean skin well and told me to use the bar.

I used the bar for the past 2 days and I love it. It lathers so well. I feel so clean after using it.

Re: Cetephil...(poll)

that's so strange, i never heard of that. i use the liquid - it's actually the only thing that works for my skin, keeping it clear without drying it out!

i think that if you have very oily skin the bar might work better b/c it lathers (which is drying) as opposed to the liquid, which doesn't lather at all - this might help clear up your skin more by drying up excess oil.

I use the CVS brand of cetaphil face wash - the liquid kind.

Thankfully, no breakouts for me.

Maybe that's it. My skin gets so oily by the end of the day.

I use the generic brand as well and my skin has been under control.

I like the liquid, especially this time of year. I also mix it with a little baking soda for an exfoliating effect.Chat Icon

That's probably the reason.

I have very dry skin and use the liquid. The bar is too drying for me.

Re: Cetephil...(poll)

I used to use the liquid religously. Then I started breaking out. My derm told me it's because Cetaphil isn't a strong enough cleanser if you wear make-up. So now I only use it in the morning, when I have to make-up to wash off.
