cereal in bottle
I have the ped. Wednesday but just curious how young your DC's were when they started getting cereal in their bottles. I met a girl at the park who was giving her baby cereal at 6 wks. Sounded young to me....Any info?

My ped told us to start cereal at 4 months but by a spoon...not in the bottle.
Putting cereal in the bottles that young is an "old time" (for lack of a better word) thing. My mother is constantly telling me she put it in my bottle at 2 weeks which was the way things were done back then.

my ped just said 4 months today too... by spoon...
ds is 2 months old and has the similac sensitive r.s. formula- its got rice starch in it to help keep it down.

I started at 6 weeks in the bottle. I gave him some on the spoon at 4 mos and he hated it, so I moved right to friuts and veggies. He still gets cereal in his bottles. We had spitup issues though

They mean the baby rice, oatmeal, grain cereals. Gerber sells them and you can find them in the baby food isle at any grocery store
