Central NJ Pple
I grew up here then moved away after college. Of course I visited all the time b/c my family is here. Anyway, DH and I got a home here in Central NJ now and looking for some fun places to eat. My parents are always into fancy, which is nice, but once in a while I need a good place with great fries and apps. When I lived on LI there were a lot of places like that in RVC. B4 that I lived in Hoboken so I lived on great apps like wings, fries, etc.
Anyway, anyone know of any good "american" style fun food? DH loves a good burger and I like variety and good salads as well Thanks

Thai Kitchen II in Bridgewater is good for Thai food. I heard that something called A & G is a good Italian deli but have not eaten there. Fresh in Basking Ridge has great burgers but we just do take out. Also in Basking Ridge next to Shop Rite and Dairy Queen is a fantastic place - I forget the name but the food is great. Where are you located in Central NJ?
ets: At the Short Hills mall there is a place Joes Cafe or something like that and they have great burgers too.

Not sure exactly where you are in Monmouth County, but that’s where we live too. I can give you a few suggestions in my area, not sure how much it will help depending where you are ?

We like The Inn of Red Bank...the type of place and atomosphere is far from any Inn. They sell alcohol but only by the bottle. I think they call it Asian fusion, they also have a sushi bar. It was ALWAYS packed the few times we went. It is right on Main St.
Buena Serra is supposed to be very good also in Red Bank.
I do want to try Bensi (I think that is the name) in The Shoppes of Old Bridge. That place is always busy.
