Central ac and heat
When do you turn it totally off, do u have a cutoff date
What about heat? For example my Bil refuses to turn on heat before nov 1

I don't base my comfort on a calendar. If it's hot, I turn on the AC. If it's cold, I turn on the heat...

My CAC is set so that is cools when the temp in the house is above a certain temp. As the fall approaches, the house automatically stays a certain temp, and it never reaches the temp for the AC to kick on. If it's like that for a few weeks, there's no harm since the AC is set to run but isn't.... Then I'll shut it off for good and I only turn my heat on when it gets too cold to sleep!
