cemetery plot spinoff
those of you who have already purchased... or those of you who already know where you'd like to go... how did you decide?
this is a detail i've been thinking about but i can't decide WHERE i want to go. then i start thinking about wanting to be in one of those three "pods" and i go off the rails in the train of thought.
i would hate to leave this decision to my son and as soon as i finish paying all the medical bills that have fallen in my lap, this is something i want to take care of... but the thought of picking a spot keeps me hemming and hawing.

At my mom's funeral, my inlaws decided they wanted to be buried there too, so they bought a plot. DH's family is buried at the Jewish cemetery next door. Once a year with DH's cousins, we do a "Greatful Dead Tour", where we visit the family graves and then do a lunch afterwards.
DH and decided to buy a plot because we don't have children. Our friends came along and bought the plot right next to ours. It's in a nice location with a tree and bench nearby, and you can hear the LIRR when it passes by.
Now, DH and I are planning to move to SC for retirement, but we would still like to be buried here in NY, to "be with the family" and hope that some of the young ones will visit us once in a while. Transport will be part of our pre-arrangement when we do that, to have our bodies transported to NY.
Such things that we
