Cell phone service in Far Rockaway?
My work team is going to Far Rockaway to volunteer tomorrow, and one of my colleagues has to take a phone call in the middle of the day. I'm wondering if there will be cell phone service in the area, or if he will have to stay home so that he doesn't miss that call ( ). Does anyone know if there is service there at this point?

Cell phone service in Far Rockaway?
If you don't get an answer here, maybe have your coworker contact their carrier to see if they can assist with areas with/without coverage.

Cell phone service in Far Rockaway?
The entire area is terrible... sometimes it says i have 4g 4 bars, but no calls come thru, but texts come through much better.

I live in belle harbor and have had phone service this week so I would guess far rock would have service also

I was in far rock today and had cell phone service on central avenue close to St. Johns Hospital. Some areas I know still dont. Where are you volunteering?
