CD3 appt.
And it begins. Again.
Dr. Halfen said he wants to do another unmedicated IUI because my body did exactly what it was supposed to on it's own last month. He sees no need right now for meds.
For me, it's good and bad. I feel like with the meds, I have a better shot of everything going as planned and without, who knows.
He's confident, so I will be too. I have no choice in the matter. And I guess I'd rather not be a hot mess of added hormones anyway. The first time I took Clomid, I had hot flashes for weeks and almost choked DH numerous times!
I go back on CD13 for blood & sono and hopefully I'll get IUI on CD18 or 19 (if everything looks good) I've gotten my smiley 2 months in a row on CD18.
Fingers Crossed!!

Re: CD3 appt.
best of luck!!
if you're not comfortable with Dr. Halfen's plan, see if you can meet with another RE during one of your monitoring appts. I'm personally not a fan of Dr. Halfen after my last cycle, so I'm meeting with Dr. San Roman to discuss another protocol once AF arrives. You should be 100% comfortable
I hope this month is it for you!!

I thought this at first, but then realized if I don't NEED the meds to ovulate, why take them? I wanted them so I wouldn't "waste" any cycles... we'll see.
When I go back on CD13 I will be seeing Dr Stelling. He's the one who put me on the clomid to begin with a couple months back but then noted that based on my last cycle, I don't need it.
Who knows anymore!!
I do like them. Halfen, Stelling and San Roman. They all seem to agree with the same plan for me. I just hope it works!!
Thanks everyone

I just wanted to say that sometimes meds help you get more follies or better quality ones. I O on my own already, but it still took a while to get pg with IUIs. It finally worked when I did injectables and had 3 good follies - and am pregnant with a singleton. So sometimes it's just a numbers game!

Re: CD3 appt.
Were you one of the girls who posted about having a low AMH?
I'm curious if egg quality and time are an issue why they've chosen this treatment plan.

Yes.
This is what I was thinking too. It doesn't make sense to me, but it makes sense to them. I said that to him and he showed me notes from Stelling and San Roman that said "another Unmedicated IUI" For some reason they all agreed on it.
I made 2 mature follicles on my own last month. Maybe that's why?
Well, if it doesn't happen this month, I will have them reevaluate their plan for me and if they don't, I'll be going elsewhere.
